TOUR ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrive Chennai

Arrive at the Chennai International airport. Transfer to the hotel
Overnight at hotel in Chennai

Day 02: Chennai – Mahabalipuram (Distance & Time: 58Kms - 1.5 Hours approx

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of city. . Later drive to Mahabalipuram Arrive in Mahabalipuram and check in.
Dinner and overnight at hotel

Day 03: Mahabalipuram

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Kanchipuram for a sightseeing tour. In the evening, enjoy a tour of Mahabalipuram sightseeing.

Day 04: Mahabalipuram – Tanjore (Distance & Time: 293 Kms - 6 Hours approx)

Breakfast at hotel proceed for Tanjore en-route visit Chidambaram. Continue your drive to Tanjore. Upon arrival, proceed for check-in at your hotel.

Day 05: Tanjore – Trichy – Tanjore (Distance & Time: 55Kms - 1.30 Hours approx)

Breakfast at hotel proceed for sightseeing tour of Tanjore. Excursion tour of Trichy. Return to Tanjore.

Day 06: Tanjore – Madurai (Distance & Time: 175 Kms - 4.0 Hrs approx)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Madurai. Arrival and Check in at your hotel. Evening visit Sri Meenakshi Temple.

Day 07: Madurai

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, experience the richness of Chettinad cuisine at a local family's house. Chettinad cuisine is the cuisine of the Chettinad region of Tamil Nadu state in South India. During the day, visit local vegetables & spice market with the family members to source those items and later take part in the actual preparations of the recipes.

Day 08: Madurai – Thekkady (Periyar) (Distance & Time: 160Kms – 4 Hrs approx)

Breakfast at the hotel. Later you will be driven to Thekkady. Upon arrival, proceed for check-in at your hotel.

Day 09: Thekkady

Early morning proceed to Periyar National Park to view the wildlife by boat. Return to the hotel for breakfast. In the evening get ready for a Cooking Demonstration (1830 – 2000 hours) at the hotel, where a Chef will give you a demonstration on regional cuisines & delicacies.

Day 10: Thekkady (Distance & Time: 130 Kms - 3 Hrs approx.) Kumarakom – Alleppey

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Kumarakom and embark on your Houseboat. It offers a panoramic view of one of the most picturesque aspects of the God's Own Country Lunch.

Day 11: Alleppey – Cochin (Distance & Time: 75 Kms - 2 Hrs approx.)

Breakfast on board houseboat and then disembark at Alleppey and proceed to Cochin by surface. Arrive Cochin and check in at hotel. Afternoon at leisure or enjoy Ayurvedic Massage (on direct payment basis) to rejuvenate your body and soul. In the evening, you will visit a local theatre to watch Kathakali dance performance.

Day 12: Cochin

Breakfast at the hotel, proceed for sightseeing tour of city. Afternoon, Indulge in preparation of meals in Kerala style in Cochin in a local family's house. Dinner at the local family's house.

Day 13: Cochin – Kovalam (Distance & Time: 236 Kms - 5.5 Hours)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Kovalam. Upon arrival, proceed for check-in at your hotel. Rest of the day free to enjoy Ayurveda or just relax by the beach.

Day 14: Kovalam

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Kanyakumari – a place famous for its beaches as well as temples. Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 15: Kovalam - Trivandrum – Departure

Breakfast at hotel, check out and In time, transfer to Trivandrum airport for your onward journey back home.
