Amritsar is home to the Harmandir Sahib (commonly known as the Golden Temple), the spiritual and cultural centre for the Sikh religion. This important Sikh shrine attracts more visitors than the Taj Mahal with more than 100,000 visitors on weekdays alone and is the most popular destination for non-resident Indians (NRI) in the whole of India. The city also houses the Akal Takht, the highest seat of earthly authority of the Khalsa, and the committee responsible for the upkeep of Gurdwaras

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Arrive in Delhi and transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Delhi Full Day City Tour

Morning procced for full day sightseeing of Old Delhi & New Delhi including visits to Qutab Minar and Humanyun’s Tomb & drive past to Parliament house, President House & Government Buildings. In Old Delhi continue sightseeing by visiting Jama Masjid, & Raj Ghat to pay homage to the Father of the Nation – Mahatma Gandhi.

Day 03: Delhi - Amritsar (By train SHATABDI EXPRESS Dep 0720 Hrs / Arr 1345 Hrs )

Early morning transfer to New Delhi Railway Station in time to board your train to Amritsar.
Upon arrival, you are received and transferred to the hotel. Late afternoon proceed to Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch The Border Flag Retreat Ceremony. This is an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening "Beating the Retreat" ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags here is the most charming spectacle. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervour rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. Ascertain the timings before you arrive to see this ceremony since these are changed seasonally. Wagah is the only land border open between Pakistan and India.

Day 04: Amritsar - Delhi (By Train SHATABDI EXPRESS Dep 1650 / Arr 1305 hrs )

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning visit The Golden Temple -the most important Sikh shrine which is also called Mecca for the Sikhs is a living symbol of the spiritual and historical traditions of the Sikhs, also visit adjoining Jalianwalan Bagh which is a public garden in Amritsar established in 1951 by the Government of India, to commemorate the massacre of peaceful celebrators including unarmed women and children by British occupying forces
Later transfer you to Amritsar Railway Station to board your train back to Delhi. Assistance on arrival at Delhi Railway Station by TBi Airport Representative and transfer to hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 05: DELHI – AGRA ( 203 Kms / 4 ½ Hours Drive ):

Breakfast at hotel followed with check out. On arrival in Agra check into your hotel. Afternoon proceed for guided tour.
Most of Agra is on the West bank of river Yamuna, with the Agra Fort & Taj Mahal at its nucleus. Taj Mahal is quite simply one of mankind's most remarkable creations and visit the incredible architectural excellence of Taj Mahal (Taj Mahal closed on Friday) , built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.
Further visit Agra Fort, built principally as a military establishment by Akbar in 1565. The red sandstone Agra Fort was partially converted into a palace during Shah Jahan's time.

DAY 06 : AGRA – FATHEPUR SIKRI - JAIPUR (260 km - Approx 6 Hours Drive):

After Breakfast, drive to Agra. En route visit Fatehpur sikri, which was once an imperial capital frozen in time, constructed by Akbar the Great in the 16th century. This wonderful city constructed by red sand stones was abandoned as abruptly as it had been built. Arrive in Jaipur city by late afternoon, and check in at hotel. Evening at leisure.

DAY 07: JAIPUR:

vAfter Breakfast, proceed for the guided tour of Jaipur the colourful capital of Rajasthan. With its rich & colourful past, resplendent with tales of valour & bravery.
Proceed for a guided excursion to Amber Fort (11 km); the palace complex which stands to this date was commenced under the reign of Raja Man Singh. Enroute a short Photo stop at Hawa Mahal ( Palace of Winds ). On reaching Amber enjoy an Elephant ride / Jeep Ride “ Subject to Availability” to reach the Fort situated on the hill, an overwhelming experience.
Afternoon visit the City Palace, a perfect blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture. The centre of the palace is a seven-storied building called Chandra Palace, with fine views over the gardens & the city. Further we continue visiting Jantar Mantar, the Solar Observatory, an astronomical treasure house, with solar devices that give accurate predictions till date.

DAY 08: JAIPUR – DELHI DEPARTURE ( 260 Kms / Approx 6 Hours Drive )

Breakfast at hotel, followed with free time till 1200 Hrs check out. Check out at 1200 Hrs and drive straight to Delhi International airport to connect for your return late evening or night International flight back home.
