TOUR ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Arrive Delhi, meeting and assistance on arrival at airport and transfer to hotel.
Overnight at the hotel

Day 02: Delhi

Morning after breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing tour of historic city visiting Old Delhi to include magnificent Red Fort, The Jama Masjid, India`s largest mosque, Rajghat - memorial of Mahatma Gandhi & a Rickshaw ride past through the silver street in Chandani Chowk. Afternoon sightseeing in New Delhi to include Qutab Minar, India gate and Drive pass Government buildings.

Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur ( 255 Kms / approx 6 Hours Drive )

Post breakfast drive to Jaipur. Arrive Jaipur and check in at hotel.
Dinner and overnight at hotel

Day 04: Jaipur

Post breakfast excursion to Amber Fort riding on the Elephant back. Afternoon city tour of the famous “Pink City" which reminds of a glorious past and there is so much to see and enjoy here. Sightseeing includes City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. Jaipur is renowned for textile block printing, blue pottery, carpet weaving, and semi-precious stones.

Day 05: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (By Surface)

Post breakfast drive to Agra. En route visit Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri designed by Akbar as his capital, was lived in for only a very few years. It is beautiful architectural city built of Red sandstone. Arrive Agra and transfer to hotel.
Afternoon proceed for sightseeing of Agra visiting 7th wonder of world Taj Mahal and the famous Red Fort. The Moghul Emperor Shah Jehan built the extravagant Taj Mahal as a mausoleum for his most beloved wife and was imprisoned in the Red Fort overlooking the Taj by his son until death. Both buildings are truly spectacular and the Taj Mahal is now one of the wonders of the World.

Day 07: Khajuraho -Varanasi (By Domestic Flight)

Post breakfast proceed for city sightseeing of Khajuraho visit the most important and fascinating western group of temples. The temples of Khajuraho have been declared a 'world heritage' site by UNESCO in order to preserve the rich legacy of architecture, bequeathed to future generations by the Kings of the Chandela dynasty. These temples are famous for their intricate sculptures and erotic carvings that are one of the outstanding achievements of Indian art. Later transfer to airport to board the flight for Varanasi. Upon arrival transfer to Hotel.
Later transfer to airport to connect flight to Varanasi, on arrival transfer to hotel. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath (9 kms) an important pilgrimage centre for Buddhist. This is where the Buddha preached his first sermon after getting enlightenment. The city is famous for its magnificent stupas, monasteries and temples.
Evening attained Aarti on the bank of the holly river Ganga. Ritual is performed every evening y a group of priests at the Dashashwamedh ghat. Through the aarti, Agni Pooja is performed in which a commitment is made to the Lord Shiva, Mata Gange, Surya, Agni (Fire) as well as the whole universe made by the Lord Shiva.

Day 08: Varanasi - Kathmandu (By International Flight)

Early morning boat ride on the Ganges river (depend upon the water level). Ritual is a very important aspect of Hinduism and there is no better place to observe it than at the Ganges. You will view the thread ceremony, head shaving and food being offered to the departing souls. Also along its bank witness devotees bathing, cremating their dead and doing laundry. A walk through narrow twisting lanes will give you a chance to witness the various rituals of the pilgrims and followed by city tour to see Banaras Hindu University. Afternoon flight to Kathmandu. On arrival transfer to hotel.

Day 09: Kathmandu

After breakfast visiting the Durbar square, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient royal residential quarter, Mahadev and temples house of Kumari, the vestal virgin or the living goddess. Walk around the local bazaars. Also visit Swayambhunath, a 2500-year old site where, it is believed, the Radiant Lotus of the valley-mythology, settled when the water was drained by Manjushri, the god of Wisdom. The 5 Dhyani Buddha’s attended by their consorts are enshrined at the base of the stupa.
Afternoon: Excursion to Patan which is the city of fine arts. The city is enclosed within 4 stupas. These stupas were said to have been built in the 3rd century AD by Emperor Ashoka of India. Highlights: Durbar Square, the Patan Old City palace with a bronze collection, the Krishna Mandir built by King Siddhi Narasingh Malla and Mahabouddha Temple.

Day 10: Kathmandu

Post breakfast visit Pashupatinath: Situated five kilometers east of Kathmandu on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple of lord Shiva Pashupatinath, with its two –tiered golden roof and silver doors, is famous for its superb architecture. Entrance to the main temple is permitted to Hindus only, yet visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed on the temple premises from the banks of the Bagmati River.

Boudhanath: The Supta of Boudhanath lies eight kilometers east of Kathmandu. On this huge and ancient stupa, one of the biggest in the world, are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. It is said to have been built by Lichchhavi King Mana Dav in the fifth century A. D. It is built on octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. Also, visit Bhadgaon or Bhaktapur. It is one of the 3 royal cities in the Kathmandu Valley. Bhaktapur is filled with monuments, most terra-cotta with carved wood columns, palaces and temples with elaborate carvings, gilded roofs, open courtyards. The city is dotted with pagodas and religious shrines. Lying along the ancient trade route between India and Tibet, Bhaktapur is surrounded by mountains and provides a magnificent view of the Himalayas.

Day 11: Kathmandu Departure

In time transfer to Kathmandu International airport for onward destination.
